How our workshops are structured

A transparent look at the rhythm we bring to corporate strategic planning sessions — from stakeholder interviews through the written summary.

Flip charts and notes from a facilitated planning session

Every engagement follows the same backbone, adjusted for team size, language, and decision horizon. This page describes our flagship multi-day format; shorter sessions compress the same principles.

Before the room

  1. Scope call (45 minutes): Confirm participants, outcomes, constraints, and any topics that are off-limits or pre-decided.
  2. Stakeholder interviews: Up to six confidential conversations to surface tensions before the group gathers.
  3. Draft agenda: Shared two weeks ahead with pre-read guidance — never a surprise exercise on day one.
  4. Venue review: We advise on layout, acoustics, and materials even when the client books the room.

Day one — Context and framing

Morning opens with ground rules and a factual external scan — market, regulation, or competitive shifts — kept to thirty minutes of content, sixty minutes of discussion. Afternoon moves to priority framing: what must be decided this cycle versus what can wait.

We capture live on flip charts photographed each evening. Slides are supporting, not the centre of attention.

Day two — Trade-offs and commitments

Structured exercises force explicit trade-offs. Initiatives are ranked, deferred, or stopped — not left in ambiguous "monitor" language. Owners and dates are assigned before anyone packs up.

The CEO or chair confirms the record aloud in the final hour. Disagreements are noted, not smoothed over.

Optional day three — Communication and cadence

For teams needing board-ready narrative, a third day adds messaging drafts and quarterly milestone design. Implementation follow-through sessions can be scheduled at this stage.

Within forty-eight hours

You receive a summary of decisions, owners, deferred items, and stopped initiatives. You confirm or correct within one week. We store nothing you do not request — see our privacy policy.
